A current that flows beneath the surface, often in a different direction from the surface current.
This collection of images began as an idea for a story set in South Africa. This quickly evolved into something broader. It became a way to spotlight extraordinary things unfolding in the midst of adversity. Looking back, I’ve come to realise what truly drives me is the road less traveled. The subcultures. The unseen worlds. Pulling back the curtain to reveal the stories most people never get to witness.
From South Africa to the Caribbean, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Tenerife, Bali, and back to my home in the UK. I have met a wild mix of people and followed unique stories that have shaped this project. It’s not just about one place... it’s about the whole ride.
